Manifold

The manifold is used for situations in which there is a single input that splits into one or more outputs. The specific energy propagates from the input flow to the output flows. The same mass balance and energy balance equations used for the node situation apply, but an additional assumption is considered: the specific energy of the input is equal to each output flow j as shown in the following equation:
